One of my first jobs in high school was a sales job selling apparel and I did that because I was told by a buddy that I would be great at sales and he was right. I pivoted into sales as the second tier of my career because I was encouraged by colleagues and friends that I am a natural with people and sales.

My transition into operations was a seamless one. Through my sales career I had climbed into management positions, which combined with my project management experience, prepared me perfectly for working as an operations manager and a practice administrator.

Unlike typical submissions that focus on work experience, I have chosen to emphasize the qualities I believe are more valuable as a business owner, leader, and motivator. In my role as Operations Manager/Owner of a medical spa clinic, I've recruited, interviewed, and hired candidates from various backgrounds and education levels. Regardless of their qualifications, I've found that an individual's values and principles are the key factors that drive their work ethic, which is vital for a company's success.

With over half a decade of experience in the medical industry, I've come to highly value hard work, dedication, integrity, and resilience in the workplace. These are qualities I've sought in my employees, and I've realized that I must also embody them. I've discovered that qualities I often took for granted as an employee, such as ambition, autonomy, collaboration, commitment, creativity, enthusiasm, reliability, proactivity, honesty, positivity, and passion, are not as common as I had assumed. These values and principles were instilled in me by my upbringing and family ethics.
